Today marks a milestone day for Palko Jewellery Design as we have entered into the new age of 3D Computer Assisted Design technology with our first custom piece receiving approval for go-ahead.
As you can see from the picture rendering, the level of intricate detail in ring fabrication is much higher than what would be able to be done in a traditional handmade techniques.
Tammy, Chris and I are all very excited to see the milled wax and cast piece!
Keep watching for further updates!

Too many worn out rings and earrings?  Need a solution? Bring them together into one stunning piece!  Easy to wear and comfortable.
Chris was able to use a base ring and add on to it the diamond settings and wire work.  The centre stone is bezel set and the smaller side stones are claw set.  This is a ring that can be worn everyday.
The customer was thrilled with the result!

It is one of the gems used asJune birth stone.  Moonstone and Pearl are the other gems for June and I will be reviewing these other two gems in a later post.

Alexandrite is a member of the Chrysoberyl family of stones.  It is a unique stone in that it does a colour change in different types of light as shown in the picture.

Their color change typically ranges from Green to yellow, Brownish red to purple, yellow Green to bluish green.

Their origin has been from various areas of South America, East Africa, and Sri Lanka.  For information regarding colouring and pricing the International Gem Society has a great article to read.

We offer full gem stone sales  and appraisal services. My GIA gemological training assures you that I can verify each stone for it's authenticity and quality prior to purchase.
