Prince Edward receives Sculpture – September 15, 2012

We recently had the pleasure of meeting and helping out a local sculptor Terry Schaub to put the finishing touches on one of his magnificent sculptures. He needed help with taking the aluminium from a downed Canadian WW2 aircraft and somehow forming it into a beak and propeller components for his sculpture. Gem of the Month – Blue Sapphire!

Blue Sapphire is the celebrated birthstone for the month of September. To help celebrate this gem is the Logan Sapphire shown here.  It is a flawless specimen from Sri Lanka, a cushion-cut stone which possesses a rich deep blue color and is the second largest (blue) sapphire known, weighing 422.99 carats (84.6 g).
